Visa, Copa Airlines, and PROMTUR Panama have signed an agreement that aims to promote tourism experiences lasting up to one week for Visa cardholders from Brazil, the Caribbean, and other Latin American countries traveling to multiple international destinations via Copa Airlines, with a layover in Panama.
In this way, travelers making a stopover in the country will have the opportunity to stay for a few days to complement their journey with a stay in Panama. Brazilian travelers can find information about the experiences available in Panama on Vai de Visa, an exclusive benefits portal for its members. Meanwhile, Visa Signature, Platinum, and Infinite cardholders from the Caribbean and the rest of Latin America can access these experiences through Visa Concierge.
«Panama is a country with enormous tourism potential and great destinations to discover. This agreement represents an opportunity that will allow the entry of travelers ready to explore everything the country has to offer, including its cultural and natural experiences, exceptional historical heritage, paradisiacal beaches, a vibrant and cosmopolitan city, among others. In this way, it will also boost local economic growth» said Santiago Rega, Senior Director of Cross-Border Business Development for the Caribbean and Central America.
«Visa, through its payment digitization efforts, will offer visitors the best payment system from its multiple platforms, in a simple, convenient, innovative, and secure manner,» he added.
Copa Airlines and its Hub of the Americas at Tocumen International Airport in Panama, the most important connection center in Latin America and the Caribbean, currently serves 80 destinations in 32 countries on the continent. This illustrates the great potential of tourists coming from the Caribbean and Latin America, including Brazil, who can enjoy Panama’s great biodiversity, variety of gastronomy, entertainment, and beach and adventure destinations.
«We want to take advantage of the extensive connectivity offered by our Hub of the Americas to captivate travelers connecting with Panama’s tourist attractions and cultural wealth,» said Marco Ocando, Senior Director of Marketing, External Communications, and Loyalty Program at Copa Airlines. «We are pleased to create alliances that allow us to offer added value to our most loyal travelers and at the same time strengthen Panama’s position as a destination of wide tourist appeal,» added Ocando.
«Through this agreement, we enhance the destination’s international promotion and marketing strategies, allowing us to amplify Panama’s exposure in target markets and stimulate increasing interest from travelers in discovering the wonders of our country, positively impacting the entire tourism value chain throughout the national territory,» mentioned Fernando Fondevila, General Director of PROMTUR Panama.
