On the afternoon of May 25, Argentina 01, the new Argentine presidential airplane, arrived at Aeroparque Jorge Newbery from Miami.
The Boeing 757 VVIP took off from Miami in the morning, where it had been since May 19 after completing a flight from Dallas/Fort Worth airport. Prior to that, it departed from Salina airport, where it was prepared for its new role.
Argentina’s New Presidential Boeing 757 Begins Delivery Journey
The aircraft arrived at 5:25 local time, after making a low pass over the airport.
In April, C&L Aerospace, a subsidiary of C&L Aviation Group, successfully completed the sale of the Boeing 757 in VVIP configuration to the Argentine government for presidential travel.
The transaction involved the trade-in of the current presidential Boeing 757 and a $25 million loan approved by the Argentine government to finance the purchase over ten years.
New Tango 01: C&L Aerospace Completes Sale of VVIP Boeing 757 to Argentine Government
The new presidential aircraft can accommodate up to 39 passengers and features a main suite and two additional rooms. The old Boeing 757-200 used by the argentine government, known as Tango 01 and equipped with Rolls-Royce RB211 engines, will be offered for sale by C&L “as is.”
