The partnership (effective from October 2022 and formalised during the 2023 Paris Air Show) is expected to run for a period of six years. It will account for up to 65% of the airline’s base maintenance needs during that time, making AFI KLM E&M Volotea’s largest partner in this area.
«This ensures a stable and reliable maintenance solution for the airline’s fleet, upholding the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability», Air France-KLM stressed in a press release.
«We are delighted to officially establish this long-term maintenance agreement with Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance», said Carlos Muñoz, founder and CEO of Volotea. «This partnership marks a crucial step in our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional maintenance services for our fleet», he said.
«We are very pleased with the trust placed in us by Volotea», commented Anne Brachet, EVP Air France-KLM Engineering & Maintenance. «This new partnership illustrates the unique added value of an airlineMRO like AFI KLM E&M when it comes to designing competitive support solutions that meet the highest levels of service and operational requirements», she added.
On the other hand, the French-Dutch company remarked that «Volotea can ensure efficient maintenance and operations for its expanding fleet» from the new agreement, and thus sustain its expansion plan for the near future.
