At 12:35 p.m. local time on Monday (3), JetSMART’s inaugural flight arrived at San Martín de los Andes airport from Aeroparque Jorge Newbery in Buenos Aires. The Argentine low cost adds its 13th domestic destination in the country’s capital city.
JetSMART will operate three times a week between both cities in 186-seat Airbus A320s, with the objective of increasing its services in the short term.

After six years, San Martin de los Andes airport is once again served by two airlines. In addition to Aerolíneas Argentinas, LADE had operated some flights with connections in Patagonia in Saab 340 and Twin Otter aircraft until 2017.
