Avianca Brings Back Executive Class to Flights Departing from and to Bogotá to Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Miami, and Between San Salvador and Los Angeles. The premium service will commence from August 15th.
The airline’s Executive Class will be available on flights operated by wide-body aircraft, specifically the Boeing 787 and the Airbus A330, which can accommodate 28 and 34 passengers, respectively, in the premium class.
The return of the Executive Class offers several benefits to travelers. Passengers who purchase their XXL tickets will enjoy priority boarding and baggage handling, a checked baggage allowance of two 32 kg bags, meal options for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, an assortment of cold, hot, and alcoholic beverages, blankets and pillows on nighttime flights, and complimentary onboard entertainment, among other amenities.
Avianca introduced Executive Class on its Bogotá-Los Angeles route on July 1, following positive customer feedback and significant interest in a superior level of service on medium and long-haul routes. The airline’s decision to expand the service came after carefully analyzing and addressing customer suggestions for an improved travel experience on some of its longest routes on the American continent.
Except for flights to Los Angeles, the airline will operate the mentioned routes with a combination of Boeing 787 and Airbus A320 aircraft. The airline advises customers to verify if the selected flight offers XXL class, which corresponds to Executive Class, at the time of booking.
Manuel Ambriz, Commercial Director of Avianca, commented on the expansion. «Our customers have been requesting this class for medium-haul routes, and in line with our fare personalization, we have made internal adjustments to offer the Executive Class and all its benefits on our wide-body flights to American countries,» he said.
