Southwest Airlines is expanding its holiday destination offerings for spring with an extension of its flight schedule through April 8, 2024. The U.S. carrier will have new seasonal service to popular cities Mexico and the Caribbean, offering customers more non-stop vacation flight options with convenient schedules.
Baltimore/Washington (BWI)
Beginning March 9, 2024, Southwest Airlines expands its Baltimore beach destination offerings with new nonstop service to Belize operating on Saturdays. On the same day, the airline reactivates seasonal international routes on Saturdays to:
- Grand Cayman
- San Jose del Cabo
- Turks and Caicos Islands.
The carrier also expands its schedule between Baltimore and the state of Florida with the resumption of seasonal service to Panama City operating on weekends and Destin/Fort Walton Beach on select days in March 2024.
St. Louis (STL)
The airline’s Western Gateway will have expanded scheduling to popular destinations in the Mexican Pacific and Dominican Republic. Beginning March 9, 2024, Southwest from St. Louis begins new seasonal nonstop service to San Jose del Cabo and on the same day reactivates the St. Louis – Punta Cana route.
The airline’s sun destinations offering continues to expand with the resumption of several seasonal services to Florida operated on weekends between St. Louis and three coastal destinations – Palm Beach, Pensacola and Destin/Fort Walton.
St. Louis customers will have a new option for flying to the California Bay Area with the reactivation of daily nonstop service between St. Louis and San Francisco beginning March 7, 2024.
Austin
Austin is one of the airline’s major bases in Texas, by spring Southwest will offer customers new vacation destinations. Beginning March 9, 2024, it will begin new seasonal nonstop service to San Juan, Puerto Rico. The connection complements previously announced routes starting the same from Austin to:
Cozumel (Saturdays)
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (Saturdays and Sundays)
Panama City, Florida (Saturdays)
Montrose (Telluride/Crested Butte), Colorado (Saturdays)
On March 7, Southwest will also reactivate daily nonstop service between Austin and Charleston, South Carolina.
