Discover Airlines is increasing its intercontinental operations to the United States and Canada. The airline for its winter schedule will fly to Alberta’s capital city and increase its services to Florida for the summer 2024 schedule.
The new Discover brand is estimated to add one more Airbus A330 and five Airbus A320s to its fleet. The airline currently operates 22 aircraft to more than 60 destinations worldwide. The airline will also make several product changes, including free headsets on long-haul routes, improved food and beverage options and upgrades to Premium Economy seating.
Daily flights to Tampa
Tampa International Airport service to and from Frankfurt will increase to daily flights for the summer season 2024. This week, the company made a brand identity change.
The German leisure airline began operations to Tampa in 2021 with four weekly flights. The route currently has a schedule of five flights a week and since initiating service, the company has flown more than 160,000 passengers roundtrip.
The Lufthansa Group’s Tampa offering is complemented by Edelweiss services between Zurich and Tampa. The leisure company offers twice-weekly flights operated on Airbus A340-300s.

Year-round flights to Calgary
The German leisure airline will have year-round availability of its flights between Frankfurt and Calgary. Beginning with the winter season, Discover will fly to the main city in the province of Alberta, possibly replacing its partner airline Air Canada, which de-scheduled its flights between Frankfurt and Calgary.
Lufthansa Group’s operations in Alberta’s capital also offer a twice-weekly service from Zurich operated by Edelweiss.

All Discover flights to Tampa and Zurich are operated on Airbus A330-300 aircraft with 283 seats in three classes (30 Business Class/28 Premium Economy/225 Economy).
