In 1992, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines had flights to Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Santiago de Chile, with respect to Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay. The Dutch airline operated Boeing 747-400(ER) aircraft configured with three classes of seats.
Brazil was the main market, with three weekly flights, followed by Argentina, Chile and Uruguay with two.

Compared to today, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Santiago de Chile continue to be part of KLM’s regular schedule in South America. Montevideo, on the other hand, was not able to maintain operations of the Dutch company.
