New Codeshare Between Air Europa and Kenya Airways Opens Up New Routes to Nairobi, Madrid, Miami and New York

Air Europa and Kenya Airways signed a codeshare agreement aimed at extending the reach of both companies in the European, African, and United States markets.

Through this agreement, Air Europa passengers will be able to fly to Nairobi via Amsterdam-Schiphol airport, while Kenya Airways passengers will have access to the Spanish airline’s flights to Madrid, Palma de Mallorca, New York, and Miami.

«We are excited about this partnership as it will provide our guests with more convenient travel options to Europe and the United States. Air Europa has been our partner under the SkyTeam Alliance, and this agreement allows us to collaborate more for the mutual benefit of our guests giving them more access and connectivity,» said Martin Gitonga, Head of Network Planning and Alliances at Kenya Airways.

In turn, Estelle Leray, Director of Alliances at Air Europa, added that » In addition to working with one of the most established and prestigious airlines in Africa, this alliance allows us to significantly expand our reach in a region with growing demand, which will certainly be of great benefit to our customers».

Kenya Airways operates a daily flight between Nairobi and Amsterdam using Boeing 787-8 aircraft, while Air Europa flies twice a day between Madrid and the Dutch capital (one flight with Boeing 787-9 and another with Boeing 737-800).

Air Europa offers 42 weekly flights between Madrid and Palma de Mallorca; and a daily flight between Madrid and Miami. It will operate four weekly flights to New York-JFK starting in April.
