After an extensive seven-year development period, Lufthansa has officially launched its highly anticipated Allegris cabins. The inaugural flight featuring the new cabin configuration took off from Munich to Vancouver, marking a significant upgrade in passenger experience on the Airbus A350-900.
The Allegris cabins are set to expand to more international routes, including a subsequent service to Toronto-Pearson and, by the 2024 summer season, to destinations like Chicago O’Hare and Montreal.
The debut flight, LH 476, carried 268 passengers along with 18 crew members on the Airbus A350-900, affectionately named «Leipzig.» Departing Munich Airport at 16:13 local time, the aircraft completed its journey to Vancouver Airport in nine hours and 30 minutes, landing at 16:43.
As Lufthansa continues to receive more Airbus A350s, travelers can look forward to experiencing Allegris cabins on additional routes such as Shanghai and San Francisco starting from late summer. These flights will integrate the full range of the Allegris product offerings into Lufthansa’s winter flight program.
The Allegris Business Class offers various seating options tailored to different passenger needs. While the Classic seat reservation remains free, passengers now have the option to book enhanced seats like the Business Class Suite, Extra Space Seat, Privacy Seat by the window, and Extra Long Bed for additional comfort, available for an extra charge.
