Past 7:30 a.m. this Thursday (13), JetBlue’s inaugural flight to Tulum Airport (TQO) took off from New York’s JFK Airport. This new air gateway to the Mexican Caribbean was inaugurated last December.
The flight, operated by A320 N653JB, is scheduled to land in Tulum at 10:43 a.m. local time.
JetBlue offers a daily flight between New York-JFK and Tulum, departing as B6 2879 at 8:00 a.m. to arrive in the Mexican city at 11:15 a.m. The return flight, B6 2880, departs at 12:45 p.m., arriving in New York at 5:49 p.m.

JetBlue in Mexico
JetBlue’s presence in Mexico is complemented by flights connecting Cancun with Boston, Newark, Fort Lauderdale, New York-JFK, Orlando, Raleigh/Durham, and Tampa, as well as San Jose del Cabo with Los Angeles and New York/JFK.
In total, the airline offers 104 weekly flights each way, representing 18,000 seats.
Flights in Tulum
Since its inauguration in December 2023, the «Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport» in Tulum has attracted significant interest from foreign and local airlines.
According to information obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, this is the current schedule for July 2024, the peak of the summer season.

Spirit Airlines was also going to fly to Tulum but suspended the start of the route due to the lack of aircraft availability as a result of the Pratt & Whitney engine crisis.
On the other hand, for the winter season, WestJet is expected to arrive with flights from Calgary, Toronto, Kelowna, and Winnipeg, and Discover Airlines with flights from Frankfurt, which will be Tulum’s first European connection.
