Aeromexico announced that it will connect Mexico City (AICM) with Newark (EWR), New Jersey, becoming its 24th destination in the United States. The new route will result in a 20% increase in seat availability in the New York Metropolitan Area.
The new route will be operated daily starting October 27 with Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, with a capacity for 166 passengers, 16 of which are Premier Class, 18 AM Plus, and 132 Economy Class, providing a total of 2,324 seats per week.
Aeromexico Schedule in Newark
- Mexico City – Newark flight AM 410 MEX 15:45 – 21:30 MEX / daily.
- Newark – Mexico City flight AM 411 EWR 07:05 – 11:55 MEX / daily.
Newark will join the four daily flights that Aeromexico offers to New York (JFK), operated with Boeing 737 MAX 8 and Boeing 787-9 aircraft, totaling 12,884 seats per week in the New York Metropolitan Area.
The airline highlights that this new service will provide more options for business and leisure travelers, who will also benefit from connections within Mexico and to Latin America.
The new route is partly due to its alliance with Delta Air Lines, which has already enabled Aeromexico to open more than 10 routes between Mexico and the United States this year, including its debut in Atlanta (ATL), Boston (BOS), McAllen (MFE), Raleigh/Durham (RDU), Tampa (TPA), and Washington/Dulles (IAD).
Other destinations where it is present in the northern giant include Austin (AUS), Chicago/O’Hare (ORD), Denver (DEN), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Detroit (DTW), Fresno (FAT), Houston (IAH), Las Vegas (LAS), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), Orlando (MCO), Sacramento (SMF), San Antonio (SAT), San Francisco (SFO), Salt Lake City (SLC), and Seattle (SEA).
