This December 13, Delta Air Lines added a seasonal service between Atlanta (ATL) and Santiago (SCL), Chile, and Buenos Aires/Ezeiza (EZE), Argentina, for the December and January holiday period, in response to the growing demand for travel to the two South American destinations.
According to the Cirium platform and corroborated on the airline’s website, Delta will increase from 7 to 14 weekly flights (double daily service) on both routes from its main hub between December 13 and January 16, 2024.
For Argentina, these changes join the capacity increase to its two destinations from Buenos Aires (Atlanta and New York/John F. Kennedy (JFK) that have shifted from the Boeing 767-400 (ER) to the Airbus A330-300 and A330-900, respectively.
Meanwhile, in Chile, this expansion takes place within the framework of the joint venture with the LATAM Group. Currently, the Atlanta-Santiago route is operated with an Airbus A350-900 on its single daily flight and, during the peak holiday season, will be complemented by the new frequency on an A330-300.

The seasonal flight will depart during daytime hours from Chile and Argentina, allowing customers to connect to over 100 cities from Delta’s Atlanta hub. Customers traveling from both South American countries will have access to more than 100 daily flights from the Santiago hub of LATAM and Aerolíneas Argentinas.
