Through Administrative Decision 268/2021, the Chief of Cabinet of Ministers of Argentina resolved to suspend commercial air operations of flights originating from Brazil, Chile and Mexico as of 00:00 on Monday, March 29, 2021, forty-eight hours after the entry into force of the aforementioned Administrative Decision.
ACTO-2021-26665654- APN-JGM 2Flights scheduled to enter in the period delimited between the entry into force of the DA and the effective suspension of flights (March 27 to 29) and passengers who have started their trip before the entry into force are exempt from this measure. of the Administrative Decision and have a return scheduled for that period.
The DA indicates that initially 2,000 daily entry and exit seats will be enabled on international flights and that this quota will gradually be reduced as the people reached by the exception indicated above return to the country.
Another decision has to do with end-of-school trips: the operator is obliged to present a proposal for a health protocol that includes the necessary and required controls by the health authority, including certificates from the testing center where the test required prior to boarding is carried out. The presentation and approval of said protocol will be a mandatory condition to start the trip.
A test is added as a requirement for entry to the country and seven days after arrival. If the entry test is positive, they must perform a PCR test to perform genomic sequencing that will allow knowing which is the variant that the passenger contracted.
Said passengers with a positive result must be isolated in the places provided by the authorities until the transfer to the place of residence is determined.
If the passenger’s test is negative on arrival, he will complete the isolation at home and repeat the test after 7 days. If it is positive in that second test, a PCR test will also be carried out and the health authority must initiate the tracing of the traveler’s close contacts.
All costs associated with the PCR tests will be paid for by the passengers.
Hello Pablo
I noticed your message » Argentina closes the border to flights from Mexico, Brazil and Chile, imposes mandatory quarantine upon arrival» which is normal today.
Thank you for that information.
But alarming is » they must perform a PCR test to perform GENOMIC SEQUENCING » if they are positive !!! which the pax must pay !
GENOMIC SEQUENCING is NOT a normal test.. can you give me any idea HOW MUCH a genomic sequencing test WILL cost in Argentina. ( maybe 1000 US$ ?). … only Bill Gates can fly … Why to pay for a type of virus…. positive or negative will do.
Does traffic from Europe also have to make that test if they are positive ?
Any Idea How much will a quarantine be ?
Best Regards
Richard
