This Wednesday (21) at 14:22 local time, Flybondi’s new Boeing 737-800 landed at Ezeiza Airport from Marana, United States. This is the third aircraft in the low cost airline’s fleet, which plans to incorporate it into commercial service as of next week.

The registration of the company’s new aircraft is LV-KAH. Previously the Boeing 737-800 had operated with Sunwing Airlines.

At least for now the aircraft will continue, in part, with the Sunwing livery. The tail, engines and winglets will remain orange until the Boeing 737 receives the full Flybondi livery.

«The results of the first half of 2021 allow us to be optimistic about the recovery of the sector in the medium and long term, and our customers have played a fundamental role in this recovery. We fly from Aeroparque with a performance of excellence, with punctuality and record occupancy in these months, which bring us closer to new people who are deciding to fly,» commented Mauricio Sana, Flybondi’s CEO.

«For this reason, we remain firm with our investment and recovery plan, incorporating now our third aircraft and a fourth between September and October. As long as demand maintains the current trend, we are convinced that the way forward is to add connectivity, new options to fly in Argentina, generate employment in this particular moment, and of course, more freedom to fly with low fares and quality service», he added.

Flybondi also announced that they are projecting the arrival of a fourth aircraft (Boeing 737) during the last quarter of 2021, a period in which they will also resume their international flights to Brazil and Paraguay.

The arrival of this new aircraft is a new step in Flybondi’s «reconstruction» process after the pandemic, prior to which it had five Boeing 737-800s in its fleet, three of which were gradually returned during 2020 due to the paralysis of the domestic market in Argentina for more than six months.

Flybondi currently flies from Aeroparque Jorge Newbery in Buenos Aires to Bariloche, Cordoba, Corrientes, Jujuy, Mendoza, Neuquen, Posadas, Puerto Iguazu, Salta, Santiago del Estero, Trelew and Tucuman. It also connects Cordoba with Bariloche.
