According to information provided by Eastern Airlines through its web page, the US airline will cancel some flights on its route to and from Guayaquil during September and October. The company carries out these operations in Boeing 767-300(ER), with a capacity for 244 passengers.
Eastern Airlines has five flights per week between New York and Guayaquil. On this route, JetBlue has two daily operations on Airbus A321-200s.
The US airline’s website confirms that Eastern is canceling flights between both airports on September 4, 11, 18 and 25, and October 2. With this change in the schedule, the airline will have four weekly operations between New York and Guayaquil.

In the last few weeks several cancellations were announced by Eastern Airlines. For the time being it will continue to operate between New York and Guayaquil, and the Miami – Montevideo route. In November it plans to add Belo Horizonte and Santa Cruz de la Sierra, although there is no official information.

The airline currently has 12 aircraft in its fleet, including Boeing 767-200, Boeing 767-300 and Boeing 777-200.
