#TBT: Sabena flights to Argentina, Canada, Chile, Guatemala, Mexico and Uruguay from Brussels in 1972

Société Anonyme Belge d’Exploitation de la Navigation Aérienne, better known as Sabena, was the national airline of Belgium from 1923 until its bankruptcy on November 7th, 2001.

Sabena had an important presence in America, mainly in the United States. Latin America was part of the company’s schedule from the mid-1960s to the late 1990s.

Some of Sabena’s Latin American markets were Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Guatemala, Mexico and Uruguay.

In 1972, the airline operated to Argentina, Canada, Chile, Guatemala, Mexico and Uruguay on Boeing 707-300s. The airline used Boeing 707s with Business and Economy class to Canada, Mexico and Guatemala, while to Argentina, Chile and Uruguay it flew Economy class only.
