LATAM increases flights to Salta, Havana and Antofagasta from Lima

In a recent update to LATAM Group’s reservation system, it was revealed that the airline will increase its weekly flights to three destinations from its hub in Lima (LIM), Peru, surpassing 2019 levels.

The company will increase from three to five the number of weekly flights to both Antofagasta (ANF), Chile, and Salta (SLA), Argentina. Both destinations have resumed operations throughout 2023, and this increase exceeds the seat capacity offered in 2019.

In short, LATAM’s strategic decision to expand weekly flights to these key destinations allows it to enhance the Lima hub, benefiting travelers seeking access to the airline’s extensive network from there, which comprises 33 international and 18 domestic destinations at the Peruvian airport.

Schedule of flights to Antofagasta (ANF), Chile

Starting April 2, 2024.

  • Lima – Antofagasta LA 2373 LIM 00:05 – 03:30 ANF / Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • Antofagasta – Lima LA 2374 ANF 04:50 – 06:20 LIM / Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

These flights will be operated with Airbus A319 aircraft, with capacity for 144 passengers and a weekly capacity of 1,440 seats. Compared to the first months of 2020, this represents a 25% increase from 3 to 4 weekly flights.

Flight schedule to Havana (HAV), Cuba

As of April 2, 2024.

  • Lima – Havana LA 2410 LIM 09:25 – 15:50 HAV / Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • Havana – Lima LA 2411 HAV 17:25 – 21:40 LIM / Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

These flights will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft, with capacity for 174 passengers and a weekly capacity of 1,740 seats. This capacity is still 24.6% lower than in the first months of 2020, when daily flights were operated.

Scheduling of flights to Salta (SLA), Argentina

As of April 1, 2024.

  • Lima – Salta LA 2436 LIM 23:50 – 04:45 (+1) SLA / Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
  • Salta – Lima LA 2437 SLA 5:45 – 06:55 LIM / Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

These flights will be operated with Airbus A319 aircraft, seating 144 passengers, providing a weekly capacity of 1,440 seats. Compared to the first months of 2020, this represents a significant increase of 56% from three to five weekly flights.
