Flybondi incorporates a fourth Boeing 737-800

Flybondi announced the arrival of its fourth Boeing 737-800, currently stored in the United States after completing the paint application process, awaiting its arrival in Argentina. The low cost carrier has three active Boeing 737s, all of which are based in Buenos Aires/Aeroparque.

With the arrival of the new aircraft, the company will boost its routes in the country, most of which depart from Aeroparque Airport. Likewise, according to the rcarrier’s reservation system, Flybondi plans to resume in October three interprovincial routes to and from Córdoba, which were suspended as a consequence of COVID-19 and its restrictions.

The new aircraft will have the registration LV-KAY, and is expected to arrive at Ezeiza International Airport at 10:30 local time tomorrow.

Prior to its incorporation to Flybondi, the Boeing 737 was with Air India Express between May 2006 and 2014, and later joined Air Transat. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the aircraft was moved to the desert in March last year.

Flybondi’s international routes from Buenos Aires are tentatively scheduled to start in December, according to the low cost carrier’s booking system. At the moment, Florianopolis, Porto Alegre and Punta del Este are still out of the current schedule.

Regarding interprovincial routes (flights without passing through Buenos Aires), these are the next planned additions (to be confirmed):

  • Iguazú (IGR): 2 weekly flights – October 31
  • Neuquén (NQN): 2 weekly flights – October 1
  • Salta (SLA): 1 weekly flight – October 14, 2 operations per week from November

With this schedule, Flybondi plans to have five routes to and from Cordoba since November onwards:
