AFI KLM E&M formalized the extension of two maintenance agreements for the Aeromexico fleet, one dedicated to component support of Boeing 737 Next Generation (NG) and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and the other dedicated to APU support of Boeing 787s.

The component support agreement initially signed in 2018 and renewed today includes repair services, access to AFI KLM E&M’s spares and major components pool and the provision of a main base kit at Aeromexico’s facilities.

These solutions will be delivered as part of the 737 CSP maintenance program jointly operated by AFI KLM E&M and Boeing.

Aeromexico has a fleet of five Boeing 737-700s, 36 Boeing 737-800s, 29 Boeing 737-8s and twelve Boeing 737-9s.

«AFI KLM E&M’s ability to operate solutions that integrate an airline’s vision is a key element in our renewal decision. Through its experience and expertise, AFI KLM E&M knows how to advise us on the best options to maximize service life, optimize our plans and reduce our costs,» said Alejandro Cardona Seemann, Head of Propulsion at Grupo Aeromexico.

An adaptive APU program

Additionally, the company added a 787 APU (APS5000 product) support renewal agreement, which covers repair services and availability solutions, including the provision of spare APUs, as well as a dedicated operational condition monitoring system through the PROGNOS® predictive maintenance program for APUs.

Led and implemented by EPCOR, an E&M subsidiary of AFI KLM that specializes in APU maintenance, this support is not only geared towards guaranteed APU availability but more generally towards enhanced support for optimal asset management.

«Aeromexico has been a privileged and historical partner for AFI KLM E&M for several years. We are delighted with the trust the airline has placed in us and remain fully committed to supporting its current and future challenges with high-performance maintenance programs tailored to the reality of its operations,» said Pierre Teboul, SVP Commercial, AFI KLM E&M.
