Viva Aerobus will resume regular operations between Monterrey (MTY) and Chicago O’Hare (ORD) on July 15 with three weekly flights and 1,116 seats per week. The low-cost airline will be the only Mexican operator on this route.
Flight Itinerary
- VB632 MTY 10:45 – ORD 14:10 Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
- VB633 ORD 15:10 – MTY 18:55 Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Flights will be operated in 186-seat Airbus A320 aircraft in single configuration. The company’s last operation on this route was on January 7, 2022.
According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Mexico’s Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC) in 2019 between Monterrey and Chicago, 72,793 passengers were mobilized in 1,371 air operations.
Viva Aerobus currently operates from Mexico City (MEX) and Guadalajara (GDL) to O’ Hare Airport (ORD) offering daily flights on both routes. The low-cost carrier also adds during the summer season two other non-stop services to Morelia (starts July 2) and Leon/Guanajuato (starts June 4).
Viva Aerobus is also positioned as the main Mexican operator with more destinations between Monterrey (MTY) and the United States with an offer of 30,132 seats per week in 162 air operations, according to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium.
