On June 2 Frontier Airlines inaugurated its flights between Las Vegas (LAS) and Monterrey (MTY) with three weekly flights. The capital of Nuevo Leon becomes the company’s fifth destination in Mexico.
Flight F9 196 was operated by Airbus A320neo and took off at 11:08 local time from Harry Reid Airport (LAS) and landed at Mariano Escobedo International Airport (MTY) at 16:17.
The inauguration ceremony for this new service held at Terminal A in Monterrey (MTY) was attended by authorities from OMA Aeropuertos, Frontier Airlines, and the Nuevo Leon Ministry of Tourism.
«With today’s flight to Monterey, we will offer service to five airports in Mexico, part of our international expansion. Not only will we offer easy access to Las Vegas, the Entertainment Capital of the United States, but consumers will have access to more connections through our extensive route network,» said Alfredo Gonzalez, International Sales Manager for Frontier Airlines.
Travel demand continues to recover between Mexico and the United States, with air passenger traffic between the two nations surpassing pre-pandemic levels during the month of March. OMA has been working with Frontier on new flight options to meet the needs of users.
