As we had advanced last week, after obtaining approval from the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC) of Argentina, Arajet started selling its new route that will link for the first time in history Buenos Aires with Santo Domingo.

The Dominican low-cost will start flying between both capitals on November 14th with three weekly frequencies, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays from Santo Domingo, returning the next day. As detailed in a statement, the flights will soon allow connections to other Arajet destinations, thus opening a new bridge between Argentina, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Canada.

Indeed, Arajet, in addition to serving the strong receptive tourism market in the Dominican Republic, also seeks to transform the Las Américas Airport in Santo Domingo into a new continental hub.

To celebrate the new route, the airline activated a promotional fare starting at USD 169 plus taxes per segment, which will be available for purchase between Tuesday, August 8 and Friday, August 11.

Now Argentines will be connected with the Caribbean better than ever; with Arajet, we will have a direct flight between our two capital cities for the first time, so they can not only enjoy the first city in America or Punta Cana, but also Bayahibe, La Romana, Puerto Plata, Santiago and connect with other countries through our hub” said Víctor Pacheco Méndez, CEO and founder of Arajet, also calling on Dominicans to visit “beautiful Argentina, famous for its excellent wine and food, soccer, tango, and fine wines“.

Arajet continues to expand throughout the region, so we can affirm that Dominicans and Argentines have an airline that connects them with north, central, and south America at the best price on the market, with safety and comfort,” added the executive.

Currently, the Dominican low-cost network includes Aruba (AUA); Barranquilla (BAQ), Bogotá (BOG) and Cartagena (CTG), Colombia; San José (SJO), Costa Rica; Curaçao (CUR); Quito (UIO) and Guayaquil (GYE), Ecuador; San Salvador (SAL), El Salvador; City of Guatemala (GUA); Kingston (KIN), Jamaica; Cancún (CUN) and Mexico City (MEX), Mexico; Lima (LIM), Peru; and St. Maarten (SXM).
