LEVEL announced on Monday its seasonal flights between Barcelona (BCN) in Spain and Cancun (CUN), which means its return to the Caribbean and its first operation in Mexico.

The flights will be made between July 2 and August 28, the peak of the summer season in the northern hemisphere, and will have a weekly frequency, departing every Friday from Barcelona to Cancun and returning on Saturdays.

They will be operated on Airbus A330-200 aircraft with a capacity for 21 passengers in Premium Economy and 293 in economy class, giving a total of 5,652 seats available between Spain and Mexico during these two months.

«We are very excited to launch this new route, a sign of LEVEL’s agility to adapt to the current situation and offer new destinations to travel to this summer,» said Lucía Adrover, Commercial Director of LEVEL.

«Beyond responding to our commitment to Barcelona’s long-haul, with these flights to Cancun we want to help reactivate the tourism sector and offer travel alternatives at a time when people really want to make exciting plans again» Adrover added.

Schedule and frequencies

From Departure To Arrival Frequency
Barcelona (BCN) 14:00 Cancun (CUN) 18:05 Friday
Cancun (CUN) 15:45 Barcelona (BCN) 09:00 (+1) Sarturday

Currently, the airline has four Airbus A330-200s, with which, prior to the pandemic, it connected Barcelona with five destinations. Given the low demand and government restrictions, it is only operating its flights to Buenos Aires / Ezeiza (EZE) in Argentina, with two weekly flights.

According to LEVEL’s reservation system, they plan to return to New York (JFK) and San Francisco (SFO) on June 21 and 23 respectively. On the other hand, the company will resume its flights to Boston (BOS) and Santiago de Chile in September.
