Aerolineas Argentinas resumed flights to New York

This Tuesday (20) at 00:52 local time, the first Aerolineas Argentinas flight to New York took off from Ezeiza International Airport after a 16-month suspension. The airline had canceled operations between both airports as a consequence of COVID-19 pandemic.

Aerolineas Argentinas will fly once a week between Buenos Aires and New York with its Airbus A330-200, configured with 265 seats. Operations from August onwards have not yet been confirmed, as they depend on ANAC authorizations.

Prior to the pandemic, in a completely different context, Aerolíneas Argentinas had between five and six weekly flights to New York with its Airbus A330-200. According to Cirium platform, the airline plans to have three operations per week to JFK International Airport from August. This schedule will also depend on the COVID-19 situation in Argentina, the country’s restrictions on international flights and demand.

Aerolineas Argentinas joins American Airlines in operating between Buenos Aires and New York. The airline has between one and two weekly flights between both cities as a consequence of the travel restrictions in Argentina.
