Deutsche Aircraft Unveils the D328eco, a Zero Emission Plane Project

The German factory Deutsche Aircraft joins the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) initiative by presenting an innovative project whose main objective is to prevent aircraft from producing gases such as CO2.

That is why the aircraft model that the german factory wants to launch to market by 2025 is the Dornier 328 in an eco-friendly version, called D328eco. Originally the D328 is a turboprop passenger aircraft with less than 50 seats similar to aircrafts such as the Dash-8 or the ATR 42.

According to the manufacturer, the D328eco will be equipped with Pratt & Whitney P127S engines, and the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) program will be carried out to mitigate the aircraft’s carbon footprint. They also highlight the comfort in the design of the new cabin that anticipates complying with the latest health and safety requirements.

The builder’s vision for the product is that there will be a change in flight route planning, from hubs and their long stopovers to short and non-stop routes. This is also essential to help reducing gas emissions all over the world.
