Argentina’s National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC) published <a href="https://www.boletinoficial.gob.ar/detalleAviso/primera/323849/20250411">Resolution 265/2025</a> in the Official Gazette this Friday, establishing a new regulatory framework for the authorization and operation of aerial work in the country. The resolution repeals the previous regulation on paid recreational flights — Resolution 940/2015 — and forms part of the new Aerocommercial Market Access Regulation, approved under Decree 599/2024.The new framework aims to simplify procedures for obtaining the Aerial Work Operator Certificate (CETA) and to broaden the range of authorized activities under this certification. Notably, it eliminates the need for periodic renewals. Existing certificates will now automatically convert to a non-expiring format with no activity limitations, except as otherwise specified by current regulations.Among the most significant changes, the resolution states that any individual or legal entity may request authorization to conduct aerial work if they meet three basic conditions: they must fall under Article 48 of the Aeronautical Code, declare technical and financial capability, and, if operating foreign-registered aircraft, comply with relevant regulations. All submissions to ANAC must be made under sworn declaration.The new rules also authorize the use of experimental aircraft and drones (RPAs) for aerial work under certain technical conditions and operational limitations. In both cases, operators must notify the aviation authority at least 15 business days in advance and submit the corresponding technical documentation.The resolution further specifies that paid sightseeing flights — those that depart from and return to the same heliport or airport — are now considered a form of aerial work under the new framework. As such, a separate regulatory framework for these operations, as established under the now-repealed 2015 resolution, is no longer required.Additionally, companies already holding a valid CETA may engage in any aerial work activity listed in Article 11 of Decree 599/2024, provided they comply with specific regulations and maintain appropriate insurance coverage. They will only be required to notify ANAC before starting new activities—no new certification will be necessary.The resolution also empowers the National Directorate of Operational Safety (DNSO) to define technical conditions and limitations for certain specific activities, including those outlined in subsection k) of Decree 599/2024, which still require complementary regulation.

Iberia will resume its flights between Madrid and Washington, D.C. tomorrow, Saturday, April 12, operating the route for the first time with the Airbus A321XLR, a narrow-body aircraft with transatlantic range. Airport handled 6.2 million passengers in March 2025, marking a 7.5% decrease compared to the same month last year. The European manufacturer delivered 71 aircraft last month, bringing its total for 2025 to 136, compared to Boeing’s 130 over the same period.After a slower start to the year—with just 65 deliveries in January and February combined—Airbus ramped up production in March. Last month’s deliveries included:<ul><li>10 A220 family aircraft (nine A220-300s and the first A220-100 of the year, delivered to ITA Airways).</li><li>52 A320neo family aircraft (34 A321neo and 18 A320neo).</li><li>2 A330neo jets (both A330-900s, one for Cebu Pacific and another for CIT Leasing).</li><li>6 A350s (all A350-900 models).</li></ul>Despite the rebound, Airbus’s Q1 2025 deliveries (136) slightly trail the 142 aircraft delivered during the same period in 2024. The company remains committed to its full-year target of 880 commercial aircraft deliveries by the end of 2025.<section class="noteSuggested" data-id="37924" data-title="Puede interesarte"></section>In addition to leading in deliveries, Airbus also outpaced Boeing in new orders in March, booking 221 gross orders for the month. This brings its 2025 gross order total to 280 aircraft. After accounting for 76 cancellations, the net total for the year stands at 204 aircraft.Among the most notable deals were 70 A320neo family aircraft for BOC Aviation, another 50 for Jackson Square, and nine aircraft (A350-1000s and A321neos) for Eva Air. Two significant agreements with undisclosed customers also emerged: one for 40 A321neos and another for a 42-aircraft package consisting of 13 A320neo, 17 A321neo, 6 A350-900, and 6 A350-1000.In a long-expected update to its order book, Airbus formally removed the order for 72 A320neo aircraft from India’s Go First, which ceased operations and entered bankruptcy proceedings in 2023.

The National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC) of Argentina has officially lifted the preventive suspension of the Air Operator Certificate (CESA) held by Dos Mil Aerosistema S.A. (CUIT 30-69745137-0), through Resolution 264/2025, dated April 8 and published in the Official Gazette on April 10.The original suspension was issued on July 2, 2024 (Resolution ANAC 180/2024) after authorities found that the company had transported dangerous goods (explosives) without the required specific approval in its Operations Specifications. This violation breached Parts 18 and 135 of the Argentine Civil Aviation Regulations (RAAC) and also led to the grounding of the aircraft Fairchild Metro III SA227, registration LV-VDJ.According to the new resolution, Dos Mil Aerosistema S.A. initiated an internal review process and requested permission to resume limited operations. After evaluating the company’s corrective actions and submitted documentation, the technical departments of ANAC’s National Directorate of Operational Safety (DNSO) determined that the company now meets the relevant RAAC requirements under Parts 119 and 135, thus justifying the lifting of the suspension.As a result, Resolution 264/2025 annuls the previous suspension of the CESA. However, the return to operations is permitted under strict conditions: the company is authorized to operate only one aircraft—a Fairchild Metro III SA227, registration LV-ZMG—with the designated crew members Pablo Fernando Martínez and Leopoldo Carranza, as specified by the company and approved by ANAC in the attached CESA annexes.The aircraft LV-VDJ remains grounded, as it could not be inspected during the audit process.ANAC has formally warned Dos Mil Aerosistema S.A. that any further violation of aviation regulations could result in the revocation of its certification, in addition to other applicable penalties under the infringement regime (Decree 816/2024).With this decision, Dos Mil Aerosistema S.A. is now authorized to resume air services, though subject to the imposed restrictions and strict compliance with current aviation regulations.
