Yesterday afternoon, TAP Air Portugal’s inaugural flight landed in Punta Cana from Lisbon, marking the airline’s return to the Dominican Republic.
TAP Air Portugal will operate three flights per week in Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, which offer the new Airspace cabins in a configuration of 23 lie-flat seats in Business, 96 in EconomyXtra, and 168 in Economy.
Flight TP 0179 departs from Lisbon on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 17:00 and arrives in Punta Cana at 21:20 on the same day (local time) after 8 hours 20 minutes flight time. Conversely, it departs as TP 0178 at 23:04, landing in the Portuguese capital at 10:35 the following day after 7 hours 30 minutes of flight time. Fares start at 403 euros round trip including taxes.
The company emphasized the validity of the «Book with Confidence» program, which enables passengers to make changes with flexibility in all fare bands, even the most economical ones, by modifying dates, destinations, or leaving their tickets open for bookings made on flights up to February 28, 2022.
