Starting April 2, Aeromexico resumes operations between Mexico City (MEX) and London Heathrow (LHR). After an extensive suspension, the Mexican airline will offer five weekly frequencies on Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
Flight Itinerary
- Mexico City – London Heathrow Flight AM7 MEX 23:45 – LHR 16:00+1 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
- London Heathrow – Mexico City Flight AM8 LHR 22:30 – MEX 04:10+1 on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
Flights will be operated on Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner with 243 seats configured with 32 seats in Business Class and 211 seats in Economy Class.
Data obtained by Aviacionline by the Ministry of Communications and Transport in 2019 the route between Mexico City (MEX) and London Heathrow (LHR) moved 259,692 passengers and 8,505.4 tons of cargo in 1,364 air operations.
Aeromexico had constantly delayed its return to the English capital due to restrictions imposed by the British authorities, following Mexico’s removal from the COVID-19 red list of countries at risk and the acceptance of the vaccination certificate, Mexican residents will be able to enter the United Kingdom. These new measures allow the Mexican airline to resume operations to London Heathrow (LHR).
Aeromexico currently offers flights to three European cities including Madrid (MAD), Amsterdam (AMS), and Paris (CDG), with the addition of London (LHR) for the summer season the company recovers 80% of its pre-pandemic offer to Europe, so far there is still no indication of a restart to Barcelona (BCN), a route offered prior to the health crisis.

- Paris (CDG) five flights per week from Mexico City (MEX)
- Amsterdam (AMD) five flights weekly from Mexico City (MEX)
- Madrid (MAD) 12 weekly flights from Mexico City (MEX) and three weekly frequencies from Guadalajara (GDL) and Monterrey (MTY).
