The Latin American airline recently introduced its new Eco Travel Kits for passengers traveling in its Premium Business class. The sustainable travel kit incorporates sustainable materials with the aim of reducing the use of single-use plastics.

«Following its commitment to eliminate single-use plastics, the bag is delivered without wrapping. Its contents are more environmentally friendly by incorporating some reusable materials such as a bamboo toothbrush with a sugarcane cap. The wrapping of the earplugs is made of kraft paper. This allows to minimize the use of plastic materials and the socks and eye caps are made of recycled plastic,» the company said.

The new amenity sustainable travel kit will initially be available on Latam flights between Santiago de Chile and Madrid and between Sao Paulo and Miami. Progressively they will be introduced to the rest of the services.

The toiletries kit will also include cosmetic products produced by Brazilian Company B Feito Brasil, whose products are Cruelty-Free, vegan, with natural ingredients, raw materials, and local production, and handmade by artisans in that country.

«With this initiative, LATAM intends to take another step forward in its sustainability strategy with which it seeks to generate environmental and social value for the communities by promoting social, environmental, and economic development in the countries where the group operates and working collaboratively in the search for collective solutions that meet the demands and desires of the people,» they concluded.
