Viva Aerobus in Cuba

Viva Aerobus is currently the company with the largest number of seats on scheduled and non-scheduled flights to Cuba.

The company operates regularly from Havana (HAV) to Cancun (CUN) and Mexico City (MEX) with a daily flight; to Merida (MID) with a weekly flight; from Cancun (CUN) to Santiago de Cuba (SCU) with a weekly flight and Camaguey (CMW) with four weekly flights.

Through travel agencies, it operates in Varadero (VRA), Santa Clara (SNU), and Cayo Coco (CCS) in high season.

In 2021 between the two countries, 10,410 passengers were mobilized, being a 98.88% reduction compared to 2019 when more than 930 thousand travelers did.

Pre-pandemia, Aeromexico, Cubana de Aviación, Interjet, Magnicharters, Viva Aerobus and Aeromar used to connect Cuba with Mexico, and now only the last two remain.
