CONAE signed an agreement with the Polish Space Agency. The National Commission for Space Activities (CONAE) of Argentina and the Polish Space Agency (POLSA) signed a cooperation agreement. It will seek to carry out the development of peaceful space exploration and exploitation activities.

The cooperation between both agencies will facilitate the use of information generated by earth observation satellites. These will be used to carry out environmental studies, natural resource exploration, and emergency management.

Raúl Kulichevsky, CEO and CTO of CONAE, said that “this agreement is the result of a very important interaction that we have been having since 2021. It arose during our participation in the space week held in Dubai and flourished until we were able to sign this agreement. We see very good possibilities for cooperation between the institutions and between the companies of the countries”.

The executive concluded by indicating the role that cooperation with other countries has within the National Space Plan. “International collaboration is one of the pillars of the plan. It’s fundamental for Argentina to continue to occupy a place of relevance in the international space field.”

The President of POLSA, Grzegorz Wrochna, pointed out that “CONAE signed an agreement with the Polish Space Agency that will facilitate the exchange and coordination of activities undertaken by both agencies, and will enable joint projects to be carried out.”

Wrochna ended saying that “During our brief visit to Argentina, two Polish companies signed their own agreements with Argentine peers in the sector”. These agreements involve, on the one hand, the Argentine Institute of Radio Astronomy and the Polish company Creotech S.A. On the other hand, SpaceSur and CloudFerro formalized the joint development and commercialization of a Big Data platform that will use information obtained from Earth observation satellites.
