Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier introduced its new aircraft, the Global 8000. It is the latest aircraft in the family, which already includes the 5500, 6500 and 7500 models. According to the company, it has an innovative design and is «the world’s fastest and longest-range business jet.»

«Today, Bombardier solidifies once more its position as the leader in business aviation with the newest member of the industry-leading Global family», commented Éric Martel, President and CEO of Bombardier.

According to the manufacturer, the Global 8000 has a range of up to 8,000 nautical miles (14,816 kilometers). It can reach a maximum speed of 0.94 Mach (more than 1,100 kilometers per hour), a record among currently operational civil aircraft.

The Global 8000’s wing design, known as Smooth Flĕx, provides flexibility and agility at different speeds and in different flight conditions to optimize operation and improve onboard perception.

On the other hand, Bombardier highlighted the characteristics of the aircraft’s cabin, which is equipped with the proprietary Pũr Air system and advanced HEPA filter technology. In addition, the new model features the Soleil lighting system, also available on the Global 7500, which helps to reduce the impact of time zone changes and lessen the effect of jet lag.

The manufacturer also highlighted the aircraft’s pressurization system. In this regard, it stated that it offers the «lowest cabin altitude» in the market. As an example, it specified that the Global 8000’s cabin characteristics make it possible to experience the sensation of being at an altitude of 2,900 feet when the aircraft is flying at 41,000 feet, a typical cruising level.

The aircraft can be configured with a quadruple space division, each one equipped with ergonomically designed seats to maximize the available space. This configuration includes a master suite with a fully flat bed and a shower. The seats, called Nuage, are the first in the industry to feature a zero-gravity position to enhance passenger comfort and relaxation.

The aircraft’s development program is progressing on schedule, according to reports. Bombardier expects the Global 8000 to enter service in 2025.
