EVA Air expands its intercontinental offering with the launch of two new European destinations. Starting October 25, 2022 it will begin non-stop flights to Milan – Malpensa (MXP) and introduce flights to Munich (MUC) on November 2022. This is the first time the airline lands in Germany and Italy with scheduled passenger operations.

The Taipei-based airline (TPE) will offer from the Bavarian capital four weekly flights and from Italy’s main financial center it will operate twice a week. The addition of these two new services add to the company’s current links to the Old Continent which include: London Heathrow (LHR), Paris – Charles de Gaulle (CDG), Vienna (VIE) and Amsterdam (AMS).

EVA Air had previously planned to fly to Milan, but the arrival of the pandemic and health restrictions made this operation impossible to materialize. Now the airline is in the process of increasing its long-haul network, with the Lombardy capital and Munich becoming the company’s new European destinations in 25 years, and it will be the only carrier to operate these routes.

The company currently operates non-stop flights to Vienna (VIE) and Paris (CDG) from its main hub in Taipei (TPE) and operations from London Heathrow (LHR) and Amsterdam (AMS) are operated with a stopover via Bangkok (BKK). The flight services will provide business and leisure passengers with more convenient options and itineraries for their travel between the two cities.

Passengers from Munich (MUC) and Milan – Malpensa (MXP) will be able to arrive early at Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) early in the morning and connect easily from EVA Air’s extensive network of Northeast and Southeast Asian destinations, European passengers can now fly more conveniently and efficiently and from the company’s main hub in Taiwan, these new services will also enhance the company’s long-term development and stability.
