Delta resumes flights to Paris from Cincinnati and Raleigh

Delta Air Lines continues to restore its transatlantic network with the resumption of routes from Cincinnati (CVG) and Raleigh (RDU) to Paris (CDG). For this summer season, the company will offer 9 long-haul destinations at Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), making it the largest North American operator in the French capital.

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, the Atlanta-based airline will offer 38,290 seats per week in 140 flight operations between the United States and Paris.

Cincinnati (CVG)

On August 2, Delta after two years resumed operations between Cincinnati (CVG) and Paris (CDG), this is Kentucky’s only transatlantic service.

Flight DL 228 was operated by a Boeing 767-300ER registered to registration N1201P, the aircraft took off from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport at 18:12 and landed at Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) at 07:45.

  • Cincinnati – Paris Flight DL 228 CVG 18:05 – CDG 08:15+1 Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
  • Paris – Cincinnati Flight DL 229 CDG 10:10 – CDG 13:25 Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

According to data compiled by Aviacionline via Eurostat indicate that 113,057 passengers moved between Paris and Cincinnati in 2019.

Raleigh/Durham (RDU)

On August 1, Delta after 28 months resumed nonstop services between Raleigh/Durham (RDU) and Paris (CDG) with four weekly flights, this is RDU’s third transatlantic service for this summer and sixth internationally.

Flight DL 230 was operated by a Boeing 767-300ER registered to registration N182DN, the aircraft took off from Raleigh/Durham International Airport at 18:31 and landed at Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) at 07:40.

  • Raleigh – Paris Flight DL 230 RDU 18:00 – CDG 08:05+1 Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
  • Paris – Raleigh Flight DL 231 CDG 10:30 – RDU 13:45 Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

“This is an exciting day at RDU as we send passengers to Paris for the first time in more than two years,” said Michael Landguth, president and CEO of Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority.

“We appreciate Delta’s commitment to bring this unique destination back to the Research Triangle,” Landguth added.

According to data obtained by Eurostat indicates that 116,829 passengers flew between Raleigh and Paris in 2019, it was RDU’s second busiest transatlantic service, behind only London.
