This Thursday (15) French Bee inaugurated its operations between Paris (ORY) and Miami (MIA), this is the fourth destination of the company in the United States. It will also be the only low-cost operator in this market.
Flight BF 742, operated by Airbus A350 registered as F-HREV, took off from Orly Airport (ORY) at 15:09 local time and landed at Miami International Airport (MIA) at 18:57, after nine hours and 48 minutes.
The last flight between Paris – Orly (ORY) and Florida was by charter airline Corsair on March 21, 2020 with a four-flight weekly service on Airbus A330-300s.
According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, French Bee will have an offer of 12,330 weekly seats between Paris (ORY) and the United States. In addition to its services to the state of Florida, the company offers routes to Newark (EWR), San Francisco (SFO) and Los Angeles (LAX), the latter of which began during this year’s summer season.
Flight Itinerary
- Paris/Orly – Miami Flight BF 742 ORY 14:30 – MIA 18:45 Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
- Miami – Paris/Orly Flight BF 743 MIA 21:00 – ORY 11:40+1 Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
The route will be operated on Airbus A350-900 aircraft with a capacity of 411 passengers in two classes (35 Premium Bee/376 Eco Blue) and promotional fares are available from EUR 204 each way.
French Bee becomes the 17th airline to offer services between Europe and Miami International Airport (MIA), in addition to providing MIA’s 18th European connection and the only connection between Orly Airport (ORY) and Florida.
According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Eurostat, 486,792 passengers were mobilized in 2019 between Paris and Miami, the French capital is MIA’s third largest European market. Airlines currently operating in this segment are: American Airlines, Air France and French Bee.
The last low-cost airline to operate in Miami (MIA) was Norwegian UK with daily service from London – Gatwick (LGW) on Boeing 787 Dreamliner in March 2020.
