    American Airlines began its third daily operation between Charlotte (CLT) and London – Heathrow (LHR) on April 3. The airline increases its offerings on this segment by 50% when compared to the winter season and will provide a capacity of 11,466 seats per week.

    The flight AA 734, was operated in a Boeing 777 with registration number N776AN, which took off from Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT) at 23:24 local time and landed at Heathrow Airport (LHR) at 11:50 the next day, after eleven hours and 50 minutes.

    According to data obtained by Aviacionline through the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), 319,342 passengers were mobilized in 2019 between Charlotte (CLT) and London (LHR). The British capital is the main transatlantic market CLT.

    For the summer season, the airline will offer 34,398 seats per week between Charlotte (CLT) and Europe, an increase of 4.3% compared to pre-pandemic levels.

    In addition to its services to the British capital, the airline will have daily flights to Paris – Charles de Gaulle (CDG), Dublin (DUB), Rome – Fiumicino (FCO), Frankfurt (FRA), Madrid (MAD) and Munich (MUC) in the summer. The only destination that the company has not resumed operating prior to the pandemic is Barcelona (BCN).

    CLT is American’s fourth largest transatlantic hub in terms of seats per seat kilometers offered (ASK) and second largest domestic hub. All of the airline’s long-haul flights at CLT are operated on Boeing 777-200ER aircraft with seating capacity of 273 in three classes (37 Business Class/24 Premium Economy/212 Economy).

    American for the summer season will have 26 daily flights and an offer of 104,286 weekly seats between London (LHR) and the United States. The company will have service to Heathrow (LHR) from New York (JFK), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Chicago O’Hare (ORD), Los Angeles (LAX), Charlotte (CLT), Philadelphia (PHL), Miami (MIA), Raleigh/Durham (RDU), Boston (BOS), Phoenix – Sky Harbor (PHX) and Seattle – Tacoma (SEA).
