On May 25, Delta Air Lines expanded its offerings in Germany with the resumption of its nonstop flights between New York and Berlin, which were interrupted by the pandemic. With this service, the company becomes the second U.S. airline to fly to the German capital’s new airport.
Flight DL 92 was operated on a Boeing 767 registered as N196DN, which took off from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) at 17:04 and landed at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport (BER) at 06:19 the next day of the following day, after seven hours and fifteen minutes.
«The reactivation of our nonstop service from Berlin to New York, as well as the rebuilding of our entire network between Germany and the U.S., was a top priority for Delta. Berlin is extremely popular with our U.S. guests. Demand for flights from Berlin to the U.S. is also very high«, said Nicolas Ferri, Delta’s vice president for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India.
