Condor orders three additional Airbus A330-900neo
The German airline Condor has announced the acquisition of three additional Airbus A330-900neo aircraft. These aircraft are expected to arrive between 2026 and 2027, increasing their long-haul fleet to a total of 21 planes.
Condor has chosen the A330neo to replace its Boeing 767-300 aircraft and plans to complete the fleet modernization process by spring 2024. Currently, the airline operates ten A330neo planes, which serve approximately half of the company’s long-distance destinations.
The initial order placed with Airbus consisted of 14 A330neo aircraft. In 2022, an additional two aircraft were added to the order, and with the recently signed agreement, Condor now has a total of 18 aircraft on order from the European manufacturer.
The entire A330-900neo fleet is powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines, which, in addition to being more efficient than previous generations, can operate using a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
Condor operates a fleet comprised of 60 aircraft:
- 21 Airbus A320ceo
- 11 Airbus A321ceo
- 5 Airbus A330ceo
- 10 Airbus A330neo
- 9 Boeing 757-300
- 4 Boeing 767-300
