Iberia To Resume Flights to Ljubljana and Two Italian Cities

IBERIA

During the next summer season, Iberia will resume flights between Madrid and Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, a route that had debuted in 2021 following a curious contest conducted via social media where the airline’s customers chose it as a new destination.

The route will be operational between July 29 and September 5, and will have a frequency of four flights a week, on Mondays and Thursdays (two departures each day in each direction).

From Madrid, flights will depart at 8:40 and 12:10 to arrive in Ljubljana at 11:20 and 14:50 respectively. The return from the Slovenian capital will be at 12:00 and 15:30, arriving in Madrid at 14:35 and 18:05 respectively. Tickets are already available from 89 euros per journey.

More flights to Italy

Iberia also announced that during the summer it will resume flights to Cagliari and Palermo, in both cases up to three times a week, starting from July 29 and 30 respectively.

In total, Iberia will offer more than 4,400 seats to Cagliari and Palermo during the summer, with tickets available from 58 euros per journey.

In addition to these two cities, Iberia’s Italian network will thus reach Rome, Milan, Venice, Florence, Bologna, Naples, Turin, Bari, Catania, and Olbia.

In the case of Catania, the company will extend its summer operation from April until the end of October, whereas previously it operated between July and August (the same will happen with Split and Zagreb in Croatia, and Ponta Delgada in Portugal).

Iberia Returns to Tirana

As we reported a couple of months ago, starting March 28, 2024 Iberia will resume operations between Madrid and Tirana with three weekly flights, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The route will be operated with A320neo aircraft with a capacity for 186 passengers, and tickets are available from 79 euros per journey.
