TAG Airlines takes delivery of its fourth ATR 72-500

TAG Airlines (Transportes Aéreos de Guatemala) received the fourth ATR 72-500 delivered by Willis Lease Finance Corporation (WLFC). With the arrival of this aircraft, the lease agreement for four units of this model is completed.

The ATR 72 underwent inspection and refurbishment before arriving at TAG Airlines. Additionally, new Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127M turboprop engines were installed.

The lease agreement for the four aircraft includes participation in WLFC’s ConstantThrust program. The leasing company will oversee maintenance of the new powerplant and provide spare engines when needed.

Austin C. Willis, CEO of WLFC, said: «We are delighted to support TAG, our first regional airline associated with ConstantThrust, with the delivery of a fourth aircraft. We value the relationship we continue to build with TAG as it expands its service in Central America.»

The Guatemalan airline offers a wide range of air services, from executive flights to regular passenger and cargo flights.

TAG Airlines Fleet

For passenger and cargo service, TAG Airlines has a fleet composed of seven aircraft:

  • 4 ATR 72-500
  • 1 Embraer ERJ-145
  • 1 Embraer E110
  • 2 SAAB 340

Additionally, it operates Piper Seneca II and Beechcraft King Air 300 aircraft for charter flights, along with a fleet of helicopters for charter flights for events, aerial spraying, external cargo, and advertising.
