With the start of the peak summer season, Condor began flying with its Airbus A330neo between Frankfurt and Baltimore, offering connections to more than 100 destinations in Europe and beyond. The A330neo will replace the previous generation Boeing 767 aircraft, significantly lowering the German airline’s operating costs and providing increased passenger and cargo capacity.

On May 29, flight DE 2074 was operated by a D-ANRA-registered Airbus A330neo with the green “Island” livery. The aircraft took off from Frankfurt Airport at 12:22 local time and landed at Thurgood Marshall International Airport at 14:57, after eight hours and 36 minutes.

“The National Capital Region, which connects the District, Maryland and Virginia, is one of the most important transatlantic gateways in the U.S., and a key gateway for Condor’s growing U.S. network. We are delighted to introduce our A330neo at BWI, one of the most convenient airports in the nation’s capital and metropolitan region. The A330neo is a real game changer for Condor and for transatlantic travel, and we are excited to introduce our next-generation aircraft to government, corporate and leisure travelers living and working in the area,” said Mikko Turtiainen, Condor’s director of sales for the Americas.
