Lufthansa has presented improvements to the intercontinental flight program for the 2024/2025 winter season, adding more capacity, new destinations, and more routes with the new Allegris seats.
As we previewed, the German airline is once again connecting the Bavarian capital with South America, starting December 9 resuming its nonstop flights between Munich and São Paulo operated on Airbus A350-900s, which will be complemented by daily flights from Frankfurt on Boeing 747-8i and SWISS’ daily operation from Zurich on Boeing 777-300ERs.
In Canada, the airline will fly year-round between Munich and Vancouver, during the winter season the service will be scheduled with three flights per week (Tuesday, Friday and Sunday) operated on Airbus A350-900s, Lufthansa will continue to offer non-stop flights between Frankfurt and Vancouver.
Scheduled for the winter season, Lufthansa is also introducing the new Allegris interior on multiple routes. In addition to Shanghai and San Francisco, introduced in summer, flights to and from Bangalore (India) and Cape Town (South Africa) will be added.
Lufthansa has scheduled Airbus A380 service from Munich to Bangkok, Delhi and Los Angeles. Services to Johannesburg and Seattle-Tacoma, which were added this summer, will also be available in winter operated on Airbus A350-900s.
