Air France, the official partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, has christened an Airbus A350-900 with the name “Paris”, the host city of the XXXIII Olympiad of the modern era.

Fresh from the Airbus plant in Toulouse, this aircraft, registered F-HUVJ, bears the name of Paris and the official logo of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games on the front of the fuselage. This aircraft will be based at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and performed its first commercial service to Hong Kong.

Since 2019, the French airline has named its aircraft after French cities. This allows the airline to promote France’s regions around the world. “Paris” is the latest aircraft to join the fleet, following Lyon, Saint-Denis de la Réunion, and Grasse.

Air France named the aircraft “Paris” in honor of the French capital, which is its main hub and main destination. The French airline operates a fleet of 256 aircraft and operates around 1,000 daily flights to nearly 200 destinations worldwide from Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly.

The aircraft christened “Paris” has 48 Business Class seats, 21 Premium Economy seats, and 212 Economy seats. It is also scheduled to offer services to New York, Santiago de Chile, Hong Kong, and Antananarivo (Madagascar).
