Chipsan Aviation received its first Airbus H160, becoming the first operator of this model in India, the aircraft arriving under a lease agreement with GD Helicopter Finance (GDHF).
The company, based in New Delhi, will deploy this helicopter for land-based operations, providing corporate and government services. Chipsan also has various models from the European manufacturer in its fleet, including the H145 and H135.
GDHF CEO Michael York stated, “GDHF is pleased to announce this delivery, the first introduction of this type into the Indian market and the first of two H160 aircraft for Chipsan. We thank Chipsan for their trust in GDHF’s ability to provide these highly effective multi-mission H160 helicopters on lease and look forward to introducing more aircraft into the Indian market.”
Chipsan Managing Director Sunil Narayanan noted, “We are very pleased to accept the first H160 on lease from GDHF. The H160, the first of its kind to operate in India, will complement our growing fleet and enable us to expand the range of unscheduled air operations we offer to our customers. We thank GDHF for their professionalism and partnership, which allowed Chipsan to bring these efficient multi-mission helicopters to India.”
Chipsan Aviation offers a wide range of services, operated with a fleet consisting of a Beechcraft King Air 250, two Airbus H145s, two H135s, two H130s, an H125, a Bell 505, a Bell 407, and the new H160.
