Norwegian Introduces Four Direct Routes from Stockholm-Arlanda for Summer 2025

Norwegian launches four new routes from Stockholm-Arlanda Airport for the summer 2025 season. The new services to Romania, Portugal, France, and Spain will operate twice a week each. Last month, the low-cost airline announced the reopening of its pilot base at Stockholm-Arlanda following the Swedish government’s removal of the aviation tax.

Norwegian’s investment in additional direct routes from Stockholm-Arlanda Airport is a clear sign of the continued high demand for international travel in the Swedish market. Swedavia’s mission is to increase connectivity and make it easier for people to meet, whether for business, leisure, or visiting family and friends, and Norwegian’s extensive network plays an important role in this,” said Elizabeth Axtelius, Director of Aviation Business at Swedavia.

Summer vacations are something everyone looks forward to, and we are very happy to introduce new and exciting destinations from all the Nordic countries again this year. Summer is a busy travel season, and many people plan and book well in advance to ensure they can get away,” added Magnus Thome Maursund, Commercial Director at Norwegian.

New routes from Stockholm-Arlanda

  • Bucharest, Romania: starts May 1, 2025 (Thursdays and Saturdays). This will be Norwegian’s only non-stop connection between the Swedish capital and Romania.
  • Porto, Portugal: starts June 4, 2025 (Wednesdays and Saturdays). This route complements the service to Faro.
  • Lyon, France: starts June 13 (Mondays and Fridays). The company also operates in Bastia and Nice.
  • Bilbao, Spain: starts June 14, 2025 (Tuesdays and Saturdays). The low-cost airline already serves Gran Canaria.
