Vueling will operate seven special routes during the holiday season, from November 30 to January 11, to connect travelers with several popular destinations in Europe. Among the new destinations are Tromsø (Norway) and Rovaniemi (Finland), highlighted for their winter attractions.

The airline will connect Barcelona with Tromsø, with one weekly flight, and with Rovaniemi, with two weekly frequencies. Both cities are located in northern Europe and are known for their northern lights and Santa Claus village, respectively.

Vueling will also offer special flights between Barcelona and Edinburgh from December 21 to January 2, and between Barcelona and Dubrovnik from December 23 to January 3. Edinburgh is renowned for its Christmas market and Hogmanay celebration, while Dubrovnik offers a picturesque and festive atmosphere for those visiting the city during the holidays.

Additionally, the Bilbao-Budapest route will debut with six frequencies between December 5 and January 1, facilitating access to the Hungarian capital during the holiday season. Vueling will also operate flights between Málaga and Cardiff from December 18 to January 7 and resume the connection between Santiago de Compostela and Rome-Fiumicino from December 24 to January 7.

According to the company, these special routes are complemented by an increase in frequencies to key destinations from Barcelona, such as Milan, Mahón, Basel, Bari, Cagliari, Genoa, Berlin, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, and Bordeaux, to meet demand during the festive period.

Vueling has explained that this route expansion is part of its strategy to enhance connectivity during the holidays and provide additional options to travelers seeking destinations in Europe. The company has also highlighted its focus on sustainability, in line with the goals of the IAG group, to which it belongs.

With 20 years of operation, Vueling has expanded its route network to 250, connecting 30 countries and operating more than 215,000 flights annually. In 2023, it transported 36.8 million passengers and continues to work on consolidating its presence in both domestic and international markets.
