Arcano Partners, an independent firm specializing in investment banking and alternative asset management, has completed the acquisition of two single-aisle Airbus aircraft, which will be on long-term lease with the European airline Wizz Air. The transaction was carried out through the vehicles Arcano Aviation Fund, FCR, and Arcano Capital Aviation, SCR, managed by Arcano Capital SGIIC, SAU.
According to the company, these assets are part of Airbus’s best-selling family of aircraft, with more than 2,700 units delivered since 1993 and a backlog exceeding 5,000 units. The transaction involved Airbus Bank as the financing provider, Arena Aviation Capital as the leasing manager, KPMG as legal and tax advisor, and Walkers as legal advisor in Ireland.
“The Airbus A321 is an asset of immense reliability and a perfect complement to our first transaction, 1x Boeing 777-300ER with Air Canada,” stated Jon Garaiyurrebaso, Managing Partner at Arcano Asset & Capital Finance. Meanwhile, Javier Hidalgo, Director at Arcano Partners, emphasized, “We will continue investing in assets in the coming months with the goal of building a diversified portfolio for our investors that generates stable and predictable cash flows in the years to come.”
The transaction marks Arcano’s second move in its aviation strategy, following its initial entry with the acquisition of a Boeing 777-300ER under lease with Air Canada.
Founded in 2003, Arcano Partners operates as a global firm with more than 260 professionals from over 20 nationalities and offices in Europe and the United States.
