Avelo Airlines celebrates the one-year anniversary of its base at Raleigh/Durham International Airport and expands its East Coast network with three new routes. The new services begin in May 2024 and will be operated on Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft. Promotional fares are available starting at $62 each way.
New Avelo routes
- Albany, New York – Raleigh/Durham: starts May 10 twice weekly (Monday and Friday),
- Manchester/Boston – Greenville/Spartanburg: starts May 10 twice weekly (Monday and Friday),
- Rochester – Greenville/Spartanburg: starts May 9 twice a week (Thursday and Sunday).

Avelo opened its fifth in Raleigh/Durham on February 15, 2023. Since then, the airline has based two aircraft and employed about 90 workers, including airport customer service, flight attendants, pilots and aircraft technical staff, Operations and Maintenance, and Supervisors with more career opportunities still available.
Since beginning operations in Raleigh/Durham, Avelo has served more than 230,000 customers and has flown 1,700 flights.
