Bonjour Paris! After nearly a decade, Malaysia Airlines returns to France
Malaysia Airlines boosts its European connectivity with the resumption of flights to France
After nearly a decade of absence, Malaysia Airlines has resumed its direct connection to Paris, providing the only nonstop link between France and Malaysia, and expanding its European network alongside its twice-daily service to London-Heathrow. The French capital becomes the 68th destination in the airline's network.
Flight MH 22 was operated by an Airbus A350 registered as 9M-MAB, which departed Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 11:53 PM local time with a 95% load factor, and landed at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport at 5:51 AM the following day, after a flight duration of 12 hours and 58 minutes. The return flight, MH 21, achieved a 98% load factor, reflecting strong travel demand between Malaysia and France.

Following its return to Paris, the airline is evaluating the possibility of launching services to other European destinations, such as Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Madrid, or Milan. Last year, Malaysia Airlines announced plans to upgrade the cabins of its Airbus A350 fleet.
“The launch of our direct service to Paris marks a significant milestone for Malaysia Airlines as we expand our European footprint and reconnect Malaysia with one of the world's most iconic destinations. This route not only strengthens our position as a gateway to Asia and beyond but also reflects the rising demand for seamless travel between Malaysia and France,” said Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer of Airlines at MAG.
